Nokia 9 Prototype Rocks Snapdragon 835, Dual Cameras And 5.3-inch QHD Display

Will the Nokia 9 be as legendarily indestructible as the Nokia 3310? The world is about the find out. Photos and specs of the new Nokia flagship, dubbed Nokia 9, have recently leaked and the device is looking solid. Specs include a 5.27 inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440 X 2560 and a pixel density of 557ppi. Fandroid measured 530 cd/m² maximum brightness as well, apparently with some quick hands-on time.

The Nokia 9 also incorporates a Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a USB Type-C port. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and includes launcher similar to that found on Pixel devices. The Nokia 9 has a fingerprint sensor as well, although the reporters were unable to test it. It also reportedly has two 13-megapixel cameras. There appears to be a dual LED flash under the lens as well as a laser autofocus window. Some argued that the camera was not particularly impressive. However, they did note that the device they handled was only a prototype and was therefore open to improvement.

Customers who purchase the Nokia 9 will also supposedly receive a pair of high quality earbuds and and a QuickCharge 3.0 fast charger. The device may also be accompanied by the rather high price tag of $700 USD, especially considering the current quality of the camera software.

Many of the new Nokia 9 facts are contrary to previously leaked specs. The Nokia 9 appears to indeed include a Snapdragon 835 and a fingerprint sensor, however, the original leaks also stated the the device would incorporate 6GB of RAM, up to 128 of storage, a 5.5-inch QHD display, a 22MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, and a 12MP front-facing camera.
