Nokia X71 Debuts With 6.39-inch Punch Hole Display, 48MP Camera And Budget Pricing
First off, the Nokia X71 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is decidedly in the mid-range market with respect to performance and features. That SoC is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (although you can expand it with the integration microSD reader). The display measures 6.39 inches and has a 19.3:9 aspect ratio with a Full HD+ resolution.
From there, the Nokia X71 attempts to crib some features typically reserved from flagships including a punch hole cutout in the display for the 16MP selfie camera (f/2.0). In addition, the smartphone has been blessed with an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the back, the Nokia X71 features a triple-camera setup with a primary 48MP Sony sensor (f/1.8). The camera is flanked by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (120-degree field of view) and a 5MP depth sensor. On the power front, there's an integrated 3500 mAh battery that supports 18W Fast Charging via USB-C.
According to GSM Arena, the smartphone goes on sale in China priced at around $385 on April 30th. It will likely eventually end up in the United States, however, with Nokia 8.1 Plus branding. At that price, the Nokia X71 is a value-packed alternative to $750+ flagships from Apple and Samsung, and represents a counter to equally budget-conscious offerings from Huawei and Xiaomi.
