‘Nuka World’ DLC Reference Found Hiding In Fallout 4 Executable

Bethesda is getting ready to send Fallout 4 fans to the high seas with Far Harbor, the third and most ambitious DLC pack for the post-apocalyptic title that was honored as Game of the Year at the DICE Awards, but what comes next? Perhaps a trip to a wasteland theme park called Nuka World, which holds all sorts of fun possibilities.

Reddit forum member "flashman7870" data mined Fallout 4's game files and posted an interesting screenshot of what he found. There were three entries of note, including "DLCNukaWorld.esm," "DLCworkshop02.exm," and "DLCworkshop03.esm." Bethesda often uses the file extension .esm to reference files for the main title, and of course the letters "DLC" provide strong clues themselves.

There aren't any details associated with the filenames nor has Bethesda announced anything major beyond Far Harbor, which releases on May 19 (this Thursday), but the name Nuka Cola has fans envisioning what it would be like to explore and play in a post-apocalyptic theme park. It's not unreasonable to think there would be rides and Nuka Cola brand snacks and drinks.

The comments section is filled with interesting possibilities. "It's Fallout's version of Disney World except with more murder time fun time," one of them reads, Another says, "It would not be Fallout without some hilarious unethical experiments on park visitors."

Are you reading these, Bethesda? There's some good stuff being thrown around.
