NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 Promotion For Charity

In case you haven't heard, BFG is running a promotion featuring 10 special edition GeForce 9800 GX2 cards, which will be given away or sold for charity.  BFG Technologies has created a limited run of special retail boxes featuring the photo of NVIDIA CEO and founder, Jen-Hsun Huang, to honor NVIDIA’s selection by Forbes as “Company of the Year.” Inside each box is a BFG NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card that has been autographed by Huang and Scott Herkelman, president of BFG Technologies.

Packaged in this limited-edition box, only 10 of these signed graphics cards exist in the world.  Three of the cards will be given away in a drawing hosted by [H] and BFG.  The prize package includes the following products:

  • One of 10 Huang/Herkelman signed BFG GeForce 9800 GX2s
  • BFG nForce 680i SLI motherboard
  • BFG PhysX card
  • BFG new ES-800 PSU

Five of the cards will be auctioned by NVIDIA on eBay for charity and all proceeds from this auction will go to the “Child’s Play” charity, benefiting children in over 40 hospitals with toys, PCs and video games to make their recovery easier.  NVIDIA will match 100% of the winning bid dollars for each commemorative graphics card sold through this online auction.

O
ne of the cards will be given away on TigerDirect from April 22-May 31. And it will be paired with another BFG GX2 (not signed).  The final card will be given away in a CLUB SLI scavenger hunt challenge that NVIDIA is heading up.  It’s an online scavenger hunt only open to CLUB SLI members – those who get all 20 questions right will be entered in the drawing, but you have to already be in CLUB SLI by 4/22 to qualify.
