Alleged NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 Turing Reference PCB Leaks Ahead Of Launch

You can't trust anything on the Internet, as you are aware, so for all we know these naked pics are fakes, Photoshops, spoofs. But maybe they are real? If so, then here is your first look at an unclothed...GeForce GTX 1180!
The images of the naked card showed up on Baidu and purportedly show NVIDIA's unreleased and unannounced (for now) GeForce GTX 1180. There is no GPU attached, nor are there any memory chips, but you can see where they will go. You can also make out electric traces and all the other bits, along with a few details.
For one, it looks like the card will have either 8GB of 16GB of memory, presumably GDDR6. The PCB also reveals a 10-phase VRM powered by 6-pin and 8-pin PCI Express power connectors. What is interesting about that is the GeForce GTX 1080 has just a single 8-pin PCIe power connector. The presence of a 6-pin connector alongside the 8-pin one suggests the GeForce GTX 1180 could be closer in power and performance to a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (assuming the pics are legit).
This also looks to be a reference PCB and not a custom model, as evidenced by NVIDIA's stamp on the bottom. As with Pascal, we are likely to see Founders Edition cards first, followed by custom variants from NVIDIA's hardware partners, with fancier cooling and factory overclocks.
We should know more details soon, perhaps before the end of the month. NVIDIA recently teased a special GeForce event on August 20, a day ahead of Gamescom,and promised "spectacular surprises" are in store. We're hoping that means an official launch of Turing.
