NVIDIA GPU and Cell on Single Graphics Card?
While browsing through the Yahoo Financial forums for ATI and NVIDIA, I stumbled across this interesting post. Here, someone claims that NVIDIA is currently working with Sony to develop a graphics card that features both an NVIDIA GPU as well as a Cell processor. Obviously, if this rumor has any substance to it the Cell processor would not have the same number of SPE's as the CELL in Playstation 3. Regardless, could this be a hint at a lucrative way of handling physics on the graphics card?
Rumor is that Nvidia and Sony will make an integrated video card with a Cell processor and Nvidia graphics chip combined on one card. Stay tuned.
