NVIDIA's H.264 Support

The Inquirer reports that sources close to NVIDIA are claiming there is a driver in development that will "unlock" H.264 support for all GeForce 6 and 7 GPU's. With ATI only offering H.264 support for a handful of their cards, it certainly looks as though NVIDIA might have the upper hand here. Let's just hope they don't expect us to pay an additional cost for H.264 support like they currently do with their excellent PureVideo decoder.

Nvidia is getting ready to release the miraculous driver that is supposed to beat ATI in Video performances. The driver will ensure that IGP 6150 integrated graphic core and 6200 low end core can play H.264 content at 720P resolution. Faster cards should be able to play 1080 P resolutions without problems.
