NVIDIA and Ten Leading Notebook Manufacturers Launch Consistent Graphics Interface for PCI Express Notebooks:

SANTA CLARA, CA—MAY 17, 2004—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, along with the world's leading notebook ODMs, today announced a consistent graphics interface for PCI Express based notebook PCs. The Mobile PCI-Express Module specification (MXM) was jointly designed by NVIDIA and the industry's leading notebook PC manufacturers to create a consistent graphics interface that will accelerate the time to market for PCI-Express-based notebooks.

"The advantages of a consistent graphics module interface for notebook graphics are obvious – manufacturers have been implementing GPUs modules into notebooks for several years now," said Dr. Jon Peddie, Founder and Principal of JPR (Jon Peddie Research, Tiburon, CA). "But until now there has never been a single, open design interface that can support any graphics manufacturer. This promises to significantly enhance the number of possible PCI-Express-based notebooks brought to market and accelerate the delivery of these new products into consumers' hands."

 NVIDIA's MXM - Mobile Graphics Module @ HardOCP.com:

"Make no mistake about it though, NVIDIA MXM is a quantum leap beyond where we have been in the mobile performance market. If notebook builders implement MXM and reap profits, they can certainly facilitate end users easily upgrading their own Ram and CPUs."

MXM by nVidia – Bringing Life and Upgradeability to Notebook Graphics @ TweakTown:

Sicuro 5.1 Gaming Speakers @ Controlled-Insanity PC Mods:

"Today we will be reviewing the largest box to hit my doorstep. To elaborate a bit more, inside the box were the newest offering from Realworld Technology and provided by Super Good Deal, a set of Sicuro 5.1 Gaming Speakers. These speakers are like no other I have ever seen, read on to find out exactly why!"

Thermalright ALX-800 vs his big brother the SP-97 @ Madshrimps:

"By using the 5700 rpm fan, the temperature difference between these two heatsinks is almost negligible. But when we're using lower rpm/CFM fans the difference becomes bigger, and the advantage of the full copper, heat pipe powered SP-97 becomes more apparent, just as we expected."

Celestica Radeon 9800XT 256mb Gold Edition Review @ ClubOC:

"The ATi Radeon X800 series may very well be the best video cards money can buy right now, but what will happen to the cards that were the best just a couple weeks ago? As crazy as it sounds, those cards are now considered mid range. Normally, I almost never run right out and purchase a video card as soon as it is released. I usually wait and purchase that top end card when prices fall due to the next generation of video cards being released. Now is one of those times. We all know the Radeon 9800 series has been the champ for a long time now, so the best of the best would be the Radeon 9800XT series. We have one such card from Celestica today called the 9800XT 256mb Gold Edition!"

Sapphire Radeon X800 Pro 256MB at the GamePC Labs:

"Today at the GamePC Labs, we've taken a look at what appears to be the first retail-boxed Radeon X800 Pro graphics card to hit the market. Sapphire's X800 Pro boasts ATI's new R420 graphics processor, 256MB of GDDR-3 memory, and well, everything which ATI's stock reference design has. We compare the X800 Pro to other shipping graphics cards on the market with a lot of new titles such as Far Cry, Battlefield:Vietnam, and Painkiller."

Zalman "Theater 6" 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones @ Controlled-Insanity PC Mods:

"For some time now Zalman has had a pretty tight grip on the cooling market, whether it be air or water cooling. They are a very well established company, and recently they have branched out and began manufacturing audio products. The newest item on our review block, sent over by PCToyland, are the new Zalman "Theater 6" 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones, let's go see if Zalman's quality with cooling has spilled over to their new audio products."

PimpRig Review // DangerDen TDX & S-TDX Waterblocks:

"The latest offering named the TDX offers that same adjustable nozzle system, and has a larger footprint. A high-flow half-inch barb system has been added as well. What has been lost, is the third barb."

That should keep you busy for a while!  See ya soon - Be cool brothers and sisters!
