NZXT Brings Modularity to New Phantom 630 Case
Modularity seems to be a minor theme of late, and NZXT is tapping into that crowd-pleasing potential with the release of the NZXT Phantom 630, the successor to the Phantom 410 and Phantom 820.
The ability to alter the configuration of drive bays has long been an occasional and welcome feature on any chassis, but it’s a primary feature of the Phantom 630. The case, which is available in three colors (black, white, and gun metal), offers the ability to completely remove all the bays or just rejigger their configuration depending on what you need.
Note that there are three bays, each a different size and one with a rotating fan mount that lets you more intelligently adjust the interior cooling.
The whole point of this modular freedom is to accommodate any sort of cooling setup, from a multitude of fans to a liquid cooling configuration with massive reservoirs (there are two SSD mounts behind the motherboard tray to keep drives completely out of the way). The Phantom 630 supports 3x120 and 2x120 radiators.
Other features include a 30W single-channel fan controller, a multi-port fan controller fan hub on the rear, and a dual-level motherboard tray for better cable management and airflow. NZXT will be shipping the Phantom 630 soon with a price tag of $179.99.
