Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, Beautifully Remastered Using Unreal Engine 4
It has been a number of years since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has received an update. However, one fan has taken it upon themself to modernize the award-winning game. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is currently being beautifully remastered in Unreal Engine 4.
YouTube user CryZENx has been lovingly overhauling Ocarina of Time and other Nintendo 64 games for a number of years. He recently showed off his progress in a 25-minute long YouTube video. Not all of the controls and animations are perfect, but it is certainly a refreshing update.
CryZENx has even created a demo for potential gamers. So far the entire opening of the game up to the first dungeon is fully playable, as well as areas such as the Temple of Time and Kakariko. Unfortunately the download link is currently unavailable. CryZENx plans to continue to work steadily on the remake throughout 2019.

Ocarina of Time has won a number of awards and is considered by many to be one of the best video games of all time. The game was most recently rereleased on the Wii U in 2015, but some have complained that the graphics have not aged well. CryZENx’s file is likely a welcome addition for those who have been craving a good remake.
Super Mario Bros. also recently received a fan update. YouTuber Kaze Emanuar created a Super Mario Bros. ROM that allows gamers to play with 3D graphics using an N64 emulator. Some of the levels have been reimagined and three additional playable characters have been added.
There is also currently a ROM that will let you play a NES version of SimCity on your PC. There was a prototype of the game nearly thirty years ago, but it was never released on the NES. Thanks to The Video Game History Foundation, you can now enjoy what could have been.
Hopefully these fan updates will be able to remain available. Nintendo has a history of shutting down ROM sites and other fan remakes. The company even recently won $12 million in a copyright infringement case. Let us hope that in this case Nintendo will let sleeping dogs lie.
