When it comes to milestones, this is definitely one that hits home in our industry. Solid state drives have been around for years at this point, and while they're hardly more affordable than they once were, and definitely not nearly as sizable (in terms of capacity) as HDDs, people are splurging on them. OCZ Technology has been a major SSD player for some time now, and the company just recently shipped their one millionth SSD. One million!

That's a pretty big number for a smaller company; OCZ doesn't have the namesake or distribution channels like WD or Seagate, yet the company is clearly getting their SSDs out to performance-minded consumers.
