OnePlus 5 Prototype Pictured With Dual-Camera Setup
The OnePlus team announced earlier this month that it is readying its flagship OnePlus 5 for a summer debut. It also confirmed that it will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip (SoC) and 8GB of RAM, giving it a beefy foundation to ensure it can hang with other high-end smartphones. On top of that, a photo of a supposed prototype shows that the OnePlus 5 will wield a dual-camera shooter on the backside.

The OnePlus team decided to skip over it after releasing an upgraded version of its OnePlus 3 called the OnePlus 3T last fall. That in essence would have been the OnePlus 4, except that OnePlus ran with the "3T" designation instead. So in short, it comes down to semantics—you say potato, OnePlus says spinach.
Getting back to the OnePlus 5, it's often been rumored that it will sport a dual-camera setup, though that is yet to be confirmed by OnePlus. In the absence of official confirmation, the latest leaked prototype clearly shows a dual-camera arrangement. Overall, what's shown in the photo looks very similar to previously leaked design sketches of the OnePlus 5, which also showed two camera lenses.
Unfortunately the phone only depicts the backside of the phone. The aforementioned sketches showed a dual-camera arrangement on the front of the OnePlus 5 as well, and if that turns out to be true, it would mean the phone will ship with four camera lenses. The concern there is that it could make the OnePlus 5 more costly than previous OnePlus handsets due to the added components.
Adding weight to that concern, the source who provided the photo of the prototype phone said that OnePlus is "looking at a significantly higher price point" because of the components used and the overall design. While nothing is yet confirmed, buyers could be looking at a price tag of up to $650 for the OnePlus 5. As a point of reference, the OnePlus 3T with 64GB of internal storage costs $439.
