A OnePlus 6T In Gorgeous Thunder Purple Is Inbound To The US And EU Soon

OnePlus 6T Purple
The much anticipated OnePlus 6T has officially been on the market for a couple of weeks now, debuting at the end of October and going on sale direct from OnePlus on November 1, followed by sales activity at T-Mobile on November 5. So, what's next for the OnePlus 6T? For those who haven't already ordered one and are waiting for something a little different, a special purple color option is right around the corner..

OnePlus announced the new color option on Twitter. "Elegance infused with the brilliance of thunderstorms. #ThunderPurple is coming," OnePlus wrote.

Colors can't just be normal colors anymore, they have to carry fancy monikers, like what you might find in a 64-pack of crayons—forget black and think Espresso Black, for example. In this case, the upcoming OnePlus 6T SKU is not a solid purple, hence the Thunder Purple descriptor. We know this because the Thunder Purple variant already launched in China.

There is only so much we can tell from the press photos, though. Not all of the images look exactly the same. We'll just have to wait and see what it actually looks like once it starts shipping to real people.

Color aside, the OnePlus 6T offers a tantalizing set of features in the flagship Android space. It pairs a 6.41-inch OLED display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and up to 8GB of RAM. The phone also wields up to 256GB of internal storage, a front-facing 16-megapixel camera for taking selfies, and two rear shooters, including a 16MP primary sensor (Sony IMX 519, f/1.7) and a secondary 20MP sensor (Sony IMX 376K, f/1.7).

This is all powered by a 3,700 mAh battery. Unfortunately, one thing users won't find is a 3.5mm audio jack. In its place is an included 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. In addition, OnePlus is selling its USB-C Bullets earbuds for a reasonable $19.95 (not included).
