When it comes to unreleased smartphones, leaks are inevitable prior to launch. OnePlus hasn’t been shy about revealing images, videos and even specifications for its unreleased smartphones prior to launch (on its own terms), and it is at it again with the upcoming OnePlus 7T.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau provided two shots of the rear of the OnePlus 7T accompanied by a few design sketches of the smartphones. On the back, we can clearly see a black circular pod that houses three camera sensors arranged horizontally. Below the camera area is a circular LED flash. According to a recent leak via Twitter, it's rumored that the three cameras will consist of a 48MP wide angle sensor, 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 12mp telephoto (2x) sensor.

There are no renders or real-life shots of the front of the device, but the design sketches indicate a teardrop notch similar to that on the current-generation OnePlus 7. The company is even moving forward of an evolution of its matte-frosted glass, introducing a "new smooth matte surface with a brilliant metallic radiance."

Lau refers to the OnePlus 7T as "our upcoming flagship" and makes no reference at all to the rumored OnePlus 7T Pro. But we have the feeling that we'll be hearing more about the OnePlus 7T Pro in the days to come as the company has already said that the "OnePlus 7T Series" would be revealed on September 26th (hinting at more than one new phone).

Other specs rumored for the OnePlus 7T Series include the lauded 90Hz display, new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC and slight increases in battery capacity.

We were very impressed with the OnePlus 7 Pro when we reviewed it earlier this year thanks to its combination of excellent overall performance, good camera quality, stunning display, and attractive pricing. Hopefully OnePlus will be able to make an already good product even better with its upcoming hardware refresh.
