Anticipation is running high for the OnePlus 2, the forthcoming successor to the popular OnePlus One, and that's exactly by design. One thing the OnePlus team is really good at is building up excitement, which it accomplishes through periodic updates that offer just enough information to get fans talking again. However, it's Chinese telecom regulator TENAA that gets credit for the latest leak.
The Chinese-language website posted several photos of the OnePlus 2, along with a bit information on the specs, some of which had already been previously confirmed. Given that the pictures are appearing fairly close to launch, we have to wonder if this was a controlled leak, a marketing tactic that Apple is famous for using, particularly with its iPhone products.
In any event, here's a look at the OnePlus 2 from multiple angles:
You can make out a few details, such as the home button-slash-fingerprint scanner on the front, front and rear cameras, and a volume rocker. What's not displayed is a USB Type-C connector, which will likely be placed on the bottom of the handset -- one of only two angles now shown (the top being the other).
Based on both confirmed and rumored or otherwise leaked specs, you can expect the OnePlus 2 to arrive with a 5.5-inch display with a 2560x1440 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 System-on-Chip (SoC), 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal stroage, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 32-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 3,300 mAh battery.
As for pricing, OnePlus has promised an MSRP below $450 when it launches later this month.
