Details on the upcoming Google Pixel 3 family of smartphones have been leaking left and right in recent months, and yesterday we gave you a run-down on what we know so far about Google’s incoming Android 9 Pie flagships. Today, however, we're getting [alleged] confirmation that Google's new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will finally add support for wireless charging.

Google previously supported wireless charging with its first-party Nexus smartphones, but decided to ditch the feature starting with the original Pixel. However, a short video that was posted by Twitter user @khoroshev shows the Pixel 3 XL being placed atop a standard wireless charger. After a brief moment, a charging animation appears and the center of the screen and the device begins juicing up.

This video seemingly backs up leaked information that we came across in late July that suggested Google will launch a "Pixel Stand" wireless charging accessory with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

At this point, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are a lock for including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 4GB of RAM. It's possible that the relatively "low" amount of RAM will be relegated to entry-level models, with 128GB or 256GB SKUs gaining access to 6GB or more of LPDDR4X RAM.

The smaller of the two phones is expected to have a 5.3-inch display, while the Pixel 3 XL will sport a 6.2-inch display. These smartphones will come out of the box with Android 9 Pie and should be among the first to get the latest security updates and OS update courtesy of its first-class status as a Google offspring.
