PlayStation Phone Reportedly Shipping in Spring
May flowers aren't the only thing Spring showers bring, at least not in 2011. If the latest rumors turn out to be true, look for Sony to launch its highly anticipated PlayStation Phone in the springtime, and not in some far off region of the world, either. As the latest chatter goes, Sony will launch the device simultaneously in North America and Europe.
Not a whole lot is known about the PlayStation Phone, as everything is pretty much based on rumors and speculation at this point. That said, we pretty much know its going to run Google's Android platform, and we've seen some leaked videos showing as much already. As for gaming, it will probably be based on the PSP Go handheld console.
Of course, hardware is only half of the equation. On the software side, look for the PlayStation Phone to tap into Sony's online media platform for game downloads.
