Quake 4 1.05 dual core patch ATI vs Nvidia performance
AMD Zone has gone ahead and updated their benchmarks of Quake 4's 1.05 dual core patch. A new set of benchmarks have been added using ATI's Radeon X1800XL, comparing it to their 7800GT numbers. Do ATI's drivers really offer much better dual-core support than Nvidia's current release?
"For now we see that there are indeed some positive benefits for the patch with ATI in the clear lead for now. We are working on additional testing including Pentium 4 single and dual core results. We are also waiting on updated drivers from Nvidia that will provide other fixes."
