Quake Champions Is Yours For Free If You Follow These Simple Steps

Quake Champions
Quake fans rejoice, Bethesda has made an offer that many will find too good to refuse. Quake Champions, the upcoming arena shooter that has not yet been fully released, is now available as a free trial to anyone and everyone. Previously it was a $30 title as part of Steam's Early Access program. It will return to that price after the free trial period as well, but if you grab it now for free, it will remain in your library after this current trial period ends.

Even if you're on the fence about Quake Champions, you might as well claim your copy now, just in case. Quake Champions will return to its $30 Early Access price on June 17 and stay there until its final release date, whenever that ends up being.

Quake Champions was first revealed back at E3 in 2016. It later became available as a closed beta and before finding its way to Steam's Early Access program in August 2017, with a $30 price tag. It's being developed by id Software and published by Bethesda, and is the first main entry in the Quake series since Quake 4 debuted way back in 2005.

"Quake Champions is a fast-paced Arena shooter, a genre established by the original Quake 20 years ago. Mixing the dark mythos of Quake with the innovative multiplayer of Quake III Arena, the game adds a modern twist—Champions, each with unique attributes and abilities for players to master," Bethesda explains.

For now, Quake Champions is only available for PC. Developer id Software has not completely ruled out developing a port for consoles, but as of right now, there is no additional news on that front.

In addition to being available on Steam, users can download Quake Champions from Bethesda.net.
