Earlier this year, Razer upgraded its beefy Blade Pro 17 gaming laptop with 9th generation Intel Core processors. Now, for the start of fall, Razer has turned its attention to giving gamers a long-awaited display upgrade.

While the Blade Pro 17 was previously available with a 144Hz Full HD display, Razer is now making available a crispy new 17.3-inch 120Hz 4K touch display. In addition, the display can crank to 400 nits and it covers 100 percent of the Adobe RGB color gamut.

On the internal hardware front, you'll still find an Intel Core i7-9750H processor (2.6GHz base clock, 4.5GHz boost clock) and 16GB of DDR4-2667 memory (upgradeable to 64GB). Pumping pixels to that expansive 4K display is accomplished via an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q. With regards to storage, this particular Blade Pro 17 SKU comes with a 1TB PCIe SSD, but it can be upgraded to 2TB. There's also a second, open M.2 slot that accommodates PCIe and SATA SSDs to open up the possibility of RAID if you choose to go that route.

Other specs are pretty much what you'd expect for a gaming laptop these days including a backlit anti-ghosting keyboard with per-key RGB lighting, a glass touchpad with Microsoft Precision Touch technology, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 thanks to an Intel AX200 chip, stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos support, and a capacious 70.5 WHr lithium-polymer battery (non-replaceable). You'll also find three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, one Thunderbolt 3 port, a full-size RJ45 2.5GbE port, HDMI 2.0b and a UHS-III SD reader.

“The Razer Blade Pro 17 is known to be the pinnacle of mobile gaming performance,” says Brad Wildes, SVP for Razer’s Systems Division. “Now we have upgraded it with the most stunning display technology available in a 17-inch laptop.”

Stepping into the Razer Blade Pro 17 doesn't come cheap; this top-end spec will set you back $3,699. However, if you don't need the 4K display or the RTX 2080 graphics, you can get the same machine with a 512GB SSD, RTX 2060, and a 144Hz Full HD display for $2,499.
