Razer Lancehead eSports Gaming Mouse Promises Unmatched Wireless Performance

It may be time to upgrade your gaming setup. Razer just announced the Lancehead, which it bills as “the world’s most reliable, tournament-grade wireless gaming mouse”. The Razer Lancehead features Adaptive Frequency Technology (AFT) that syncs data reporting between the mouse and user’s system. It also connects to the strongest frequencies within the 2.4 GHz band and only hops to another when there is troublesome interference.

Razer promises that the “lag-free data transmission outperforms every other wireless gaming mouse”. The Razer also includes a 5G laser sensor that provides 16,000 DPI, 210 inches-per-second (IPS) tracking and 50 G acceleration. The Lancehead is the first Razer device to run on Razer Synapse Pro; mouse settings can be saved directly to the mouse as well as a cloud with a “new hybrid on-board and cloud memory functionality”. Users will be able to access their profile with or without an internet connection.

Razer has collaborated with Omron as well to develop Mechanical Mouse Switches, whose latency is reportedly one of the fastest in the world. The Lancehead includes two DPI buttons that allow the user to quickly change the sensitivity and to top it off, the switches have a durability rating of up to 50 million clicks.

In addition, Razer has launched the Lancehead Tournament Edition wired gaming mouse. This mouse is incredibly similar to the Lancehead, however, its 16,000 DPI sensor includes a tracking speed of 450 IPS. Both mice include 16.8 million customizable colors and game play-integrated lighting as well as nine "Hyperesponse" buttons that can be programmed to behave independently.
