It's been quite a while since we last discussed Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2. Back in May, the developer announced that the game had been delayed from Fall 2017 to Spring 2018. "We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready," said Rockstar at the time. "We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer."

Well, Rockstar is delivering some good news today with a new trailer for the game, which is sure to get your pulse racing if you've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this western-themed sequel. According to the official description of the trailer, Red Dead Redemption 2 will follow the exploits of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang. There will of course be plenty of shooting, killing, fighting, and robbing going on as the gang attempts to make ends meet in the American frontier land.

As you might expect for a game that is being designed for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms (with likely enhancements for the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro), Red Dead Redemption 2 looks positively gorgeous with lifelike landscapes, mountainous backdrops, plenty of gunplay, fire, explosions and, of course, ridable horses. Two other gameplay aspects that we caught in the trailer were the inclusion of a bow and arrow and a ferocious crocodile looking to sink its teeth into wayward humans.

While the game no doubt looks good, we still don't have a concrete launch date other than the same Spring 2018. Unfortunately, there is still no word on when a PC port of the game will be made available. But as we seen with other Rockstar games like Grand Theft Auto V, a port will likely come... eventually.
