Red Dead Redemption 2 NPCs Dole Out Directions If You Ditch The Mini Map

Gamers have a lot to look forward to as 2018 winds down, and one of the most anticipated games on the docket is Red Dead Redemption 2. This is a game that fans of the franchise have waited years to play, and the launch is almost here. A new rumor about the game is making the rounds today that tips a feature you won’t see unless you ditch the mini-map guiding you around the world.

Word is that when you turn off the mini-map, the dialog that NPCs dole out will change. With the map disabled, the NPCs will give you directions to help you navigate around the world. That dialog is said to include routes to take and landmarks you will see along the way. When you run the mini-map in the game these little dialog tidbits will be skipped according to the leak.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is shaping up to be a blockbuster release and it will be highly detailed; there are said to be 200 different animal species in the game. With so much detail Red Dead 2 clocks in as a huge download; the game will need a whopping 105GB of storage space to install on your console. Earlier this month Rockstar debuted the second gameplay trailer for the game getting us all excited for the launch.

Rockstar first announced the game in October of 2016. There were multiple subsequent delays in launching the game and the October 26, 2018 launch date was met with skepticism. We are only weeks from that launch date, and so far, there have been no new delays.
