Samsung Chopin Android 5.1 Tablet Breaks Cover In Geekbench With Intel Atom x5 CPU, Solid Performance
The Atom processor is clocked at 1.44GHz with a burst frequency of 2.24GHz. It doesn't support Hyper Threading, but with four physical cores and 2MB of cache, the 14nm CPU is no slouch in the tablet world. The Geekbench scores prove it -- Chopin posted a single-core score of 1,005 band a multi-core score of 3,426.

Not only is this a positive sign for Samsung, it's also a good showing for Intel and its new 14nm Cherry Trail chips. As the top supplier of Android tablets, Samsung is the right company for Intel to push its new processors, though it probably won't be the only one.
The big question here is how much Chopin will cost. Armed with 4GB of RAM, we can speculate that Samsung is targeting the high-end market here, joining the likes of the iPad Air 2 (iOS) and perhaps the Surface 3 (Windows). If that's the case, expect pricing to be around $400 to $500.
