Samsung Delivers Chromebook Plus V2 Premium Chrome OS Convertible With Stowable Pen
The Chromebook Plus V2, like its predecessor, is a 2-in-1 convertible that can be used in a traditional laptop configuration or you can flip the display 360 degrees to use it as a tablet. That's where the included stylus comes into play, allowing you to draw and write on the screen with ease. It will even stow inside the Chromebook Plus V2's chassis when not in use.
On the hardware front, the ARM-based OP1 processor has been replaced by a beefier x86-64 processor. In this case, it's a 1.5GHz Intel Celeron 3965Y processor: a dual-core Kaby Lake part with a TDP of 6 watts. The Celeron chip comes backed by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage will have to suffice (you can expand storage with the integrated microSD reader). The 12.2-inch display has a resolution of 1920x1080, which is actually a downgrade from last year's 2400x1600 panel.
The 2.93-lb Chromebook Plus V2 includes a single USB 3.0 port and two USB-C ports for connectivity. You'll also find a headphone jack, dual speakers, 13MP camera on the back of the keyboard deck and a 1MP selfie camera mounted above the display. An integrated 39 WHr battery fuels your mobile ambitions.

The Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 will be available starting June 24th from Best Buy priced at $499.
