Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Leaks Again In New Press Renders And Real World Photos
The first comes from notorious gadget leaker Evan Blass, who appears to have gotten his hands on a press render of the Galaxy Note 9. The image shows the smartphone from both the back and the front, confirming the dual-camera setup on the back and the repositioned fingerprint sensor (which is now mounted centrally beneath the cameras instead of awkwardly beside them).
We can't see much from the front other than to note that there are still rather large (for a modern flagship) bezels along the top and bottom of the display. The only other detail that we can really gleam is the appearance of the new S Pen, which is yellow (gold?) in color. Previous reports have suggested that the S Pen is now Bluetooth-enabled, allowing you to control certain functions on your smartphone from the stylus.
The second leak shows an actual prototype Galaxy Note 9 in black. The details of these leaked photos mesh perfectly with the Blass leak above. Rather humorously, the back of the phone is emblazoned with a sticker that says "Confidential" and warns "No photo allowed, Not For sale, Do not leak info". Well, at least two of those guidelines were broken and the fact that there appears to a device ID number clearly stamped on the front and rear can't mean good news for the person assigned to this device.
With that being said, the Galaxy Note 9 is scheduled for its big debut at a Galaxy Unpacked event in Brooklyn on August 9th. The U.S. market device is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, at least 6GB of RAM, internal storage options of up to 512GB and a large 4,000 mAh battery. The Bixby 2.0 digital assistant will also make an appearance on the new flagship smartphone.
