Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Exposed Confirming Redesigned Rear Chassis And Bluetooth S Pen
The supposed leaks related to Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 9 handset are piling up. Whether they are actual leaks or part of a controlled campaign by Samsung to drum up excitement and generate buzz is up for debate. Either way, several of them point to the Galaxy Note 9 having an S Pen with Bluetooth support, including a 'leaked' poster.
Assuming the poster is legitimate, this is the first official shot of the Galaxy Note 9 from top to bottom, though only from the backside, and at angle. The Bluetooth-enabled S Pen rests on top and is shown in its entirety. As depicted, the S Pen in this latest leak is consistent with the closeup shot that Samsung includes on its invitation to its Unpacked event in August.
Adding Bluetooth support to the S Pen would be a welcome upgrade. It would enable doing things like controlling music (pausing and skipping tracks, cycling through playlists, and so forth). According to prominent leaker Ice Universe, it would also serve as a shutter button and long-range self-time so that everyone can be included in those group photos.
Dubbed as "The new super powerful Note," the poster also reveals some bits about the backside and bottom of the device. Specifically, we can see a 3.5mm audio jack for plugging in headphones, a dual-lens camera system, and a fingerprint sensor that is centered directly below.
From what we can gather, the Galaxy Note 9 looks very similar to the Galaxy Note 8, as was previously rumored. It's also rumored that the Galaxy Note 9 will wield a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor (and a Samsung Exynos 9810 for world markets) paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and a capacious 4,000 mAh battery.
Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9, 2018.
