Samsung pulled the wraps off its Galaxy S10 family of smartphones in late February, and the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ went on sale earlier this month. One member of the family that hasn’t yet launched, however, is the Galaxy S10 5G.

We’re now learning that this smartphone is expected to launch in South Korea on April 5th according to YonHap News. If you’re a U.S. resident hoping to get your mitts on the Galaxy S10 5G, you’ll have to wait just a bit longer. Word is that it will be available as a Verizon Wireless exclusive starting from April 11th.

If that April 11th date sounds familiar, it’s because that’s the same date that Verizon will launch its very first 5G Ultra Wideband service in the Chicago and Minneapolis markets. So far, only the Galaxy S10 5G and the Motorola Z3 with the 5G Moto Mod are the first two smartphones that will be able to take advantage of Verizon’s new mobile 5G network.

The Galaxy S10 5G is by far the largest member of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone family, rocking a massive 6.7-inch display (versus 6.4-inches on the Galaxy S10+) with a 3040x1440 resolution (the same as the Galaxy S10+). Like the other members of the family, the Galaxy S10 features an in-display fingerprint reader, punch hole cutout for the selfie cameras, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor (along with an added Snapdragon X50 modem for 5G connectivity). You’ll be able to max the Galaxy S10 5G out with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

On the back, the Galaxy S10 5G features the same triple-camera setup as the Galaxy S10+, but throws in a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor as well. This will help measure depth and will help with augmented reality applications.

Given its massive screen and added power draw of the Snapdragon X50, the Galaxy S10 5G is equipped with a capacious 4,500 mAh battery (compared to 4,100 mAh for the Galaxy S10+). And yes, Super Fast 25W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are supported.

According to YonHap News, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will have a price tag of around $1,300 when released.
