Alleged Samsung Galaxy S10 Pricing And Storage Tiers Leaked

We have talked about plenty of rumors that focus on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone family. The last rumor came only a few days ago when a leak exposed the triple rear camera array and punch hole displays. The fact that the S10 family will use an in-display fingerprint reader was confirmed via the Samsung Pay app. Now, a new Galaxy S10 rumor is making the rounds, and this one is specifically about pricing.

An Italian website called TuttoAndroid has ferreted out a new leak about the top-of-the-line Galaxy S10 Plus version with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage that claims that device will sell for €1,599, which is $1,817 when converted to U.S. currency. That would make the high-end version of the S10 Plus far and away the most expensive Galaxy device ever made. That price would also make the Galaxy S10 much more costly than any current iPhone model.

Samsung is tipped to have multiple versions of the Galaxy S10, including Plus and Lite smartphones, that will be more affordable. The cheapest version cited is the S10 Lite with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for €779 or about $908. That is a heck of an entry-level price for the new S10 range when the smartphone market is very flat, and users aren't upgrading devices.

A Galaxy S10 with 6GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is tipped at €929, or about $1,056. Add 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, and the MSRP rumor claims €1,179 or about $1,340 is the price tag. The entry-level Galaxy S10 Plus packing 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is €1049 or about $1,192, while the S10 Plus with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage is €1,299, or about $1,477. We will have to wait until February 20th when the devices are officially announced to see if this price rumor is true. However, we should also mention that we can't take these straight converted figures as gospel -- U.S. pricing will likely actually be a bit less than what's currently presented.
