It's getting close to that time of year again folks; the time when Samsung releases another Galaxy Note smartphone. Samsung today sent out invites to the press to partake in a Galaxy Unpacked event that will be held in New York City on August 7th

The event will take place at 4pm EST at the Barclays Center. For those that won't be able to attend the actual event in person, Samsung will thankfully live stream the event from its website.

The actual invite shows a black stylus and what appears to be a single camera lens beneath it. There were reports a few months back that the Galaxy Note 10 stylus might feature a camera onboard. We don't know if this is a reference to that rumor, or if has something to do with the single selfie camera positioned in a hole punch cut out on the smartphone's display (as we've seen with the most recent leak of the Galaxy Note 10).

Other than that, there's not much to go on with the invite, so we'll have to fall back on what we know from various leaks. The Galaxy Note 10 is rumored to be available in 6.3- and 6.75-inch screen sizes in both 4G LTE and 5G variants. The screen resolution for both smartphones is pegged at 3040x1440.

Based on a number of renders and recent in-the-wild photos, the Galaxy Note 10 features a vertically-arranged triple camera setup on the rear along with an in-display fingerprint reader like the Galaxy S10 family. It's reported that the U.S. and Chinese versions of the smartphones will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, while the rest of the world markets will likely rock Samsung's own Exynos 9820 SoC.

We’ve heard some wild rumors about the Galaxy Note 10 including the possibility that it might ditch that 3.5mm headphone jack and that it might have touch sensitive buttons for volume, power and Bixby. We only have just over a month to learn if these rumors are in fact true.
