Samsung Sells 5 Million Galaxy Notes

Samsung has a goal of selling 10 million Galaxy Note devices by the end of this year. It's only March, and the manufacturer is already half way to reaching that goal. Near the end of February, Samsung confirmed that it had sold more than 2 million Galaxy Notes worldwide. Just one month later, Samsung claims sales have reached 5 million units.

When we reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Note, we found a lot of features that we really liked about the device. The biggest drawback to us was the fact that its large size made us feel awkward holding it to our ear like a phone. The pen technology and added features the pen enables, however, were quite enjoyable and useful.

Samsung's Galaxy Note features a 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and a large, 5.3-inch WXVGA HD Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy Note currently runs on Android 2.3.6, but we've been told an Ice Cream Sandwich update is in the works.
