Samsung's Gorgeous Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge Available For Pre-Order Starting March 27

Samsung isn’t about to let HTC hog the spotlight today with the announcement of One M9 availability in the U.S. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Samsung is now announcing that its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will both be available for pre-order starting tomorrow -- the smartphones will be available in brick and mortar locations beginning April 10.

Like HTC, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be available on all four major U.S. carriers (although Samsung has also added in U.S. Cellular). Samsung is also blanketing the retail space as both smartphones will be available from Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, and Walmart.

“We have completely reimagined the Galaxy experience from the ground up by listening to what matters most to our customers,” said Samsung North American President and CEO Gregory Lee. “The Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge are more than just beautiful – they’re better. We’ve improved the smartphone essentials – camera, battery, display – and redesigned the phone experience so our consumer and business users are empowered to do more.”

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, and Gold Platinum in the U.S. Unfortunately, the lovely Emerald Green and Navy Blue colors that we saw during the official unveil won’t be available to Americans.

Both phones are available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB capacities and features 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED displays. Under the hood is an octa-core Samsung Exynos processor with 3GB of RAM, while a 16MP camera with optical image stabilization handles photo duties.

For now, we only have pricing for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on AT&T. The 32GB Galaxy S6 rings in at $22.84 per month on Next 24, which works out to about $548. The complementary Galaxy S6 Edge costs $27.17 per month on Edge 24, which comes to $652.
