Secret Santa Bill Gates Gifts NES Classic Edition, Xbox One S And Christmas Joy To Lucky Redditor
Redditor Arrex explains that a giant box was dropped off on her doorstep by FedEx on December 16th. Needless to say, once she opened the package, her level of excitement shot through the roof at lightning-fast speed. “Under the first layer I see a picture...and my jaw. Just. Drops. I will let the picture speak for itself!”
The picture, of course, is of none other than Gates, sitting in front of a Christmas tree wearing a Santa hat. If I were Arrex, I probably would have freaked the hell out too, so the excitement is definitely understandable.
“I immediately call my husband at work, I normally text him first to make sure it's ok if I call but I couldn't wait...he answered and I spoke very quietly because I knew if I didn't I would just yell, and I said something like ‘Dear, please tell me you can talk right now,’ and he sounded worried and he's like ‘Yes? What's going on?’ And I said BILL GATES IS MY FREAKIN SANTA!!!!!!!!”
If Bill Freakin’ Gates is your Secret Santa, then you know that you are getting hooked up to the max. And this year was no exception. In the box, Arrex found (among other things):

- Nintendo NES Classic Edition (we’re sure that Gates pulled a few strings to get one)
And to show that he has a sense of humor (and knew his target audience), Gates included a Link and Zelda picture frame. But the picture inside the frame is the awesome part; “The picture in it is just the best...he used my profile picture on here of me, my husband, and my dog, PHOTOSHOPPED HIMSELF IN, and put Santa hats on all of us,” Arrex exclaimed. “Come on now, that is the cutest thing!”
Gates’ generosity truly touched Arrex and her family, but as she proudly points out, he still wasn’t done with his Christmas givings. “I'm just blown away by his generosity, which went even further than all these gifts because he submitted a donation to code.org in my name to give more students the chance to learn computer science, which is AWESOME because it's something near and dear to my heart as my husband is a programmer and my brother has a degree in computer science!”
Cheers to Bill Gates for his yearly Secret Santa gifts, and hopefully Arrex will be able to come down off her high long enough to enjoy some Xbox One S gaming goodness.
