Shader Model 3.0 and Far Cry, Sweet Modding, Corsair Pro Series and More...
As we start out this Friday morning, we've got multiple reports of sites who've had time to work with the latest Far Cry patch v1.2 and Shader Model 3.0. It's no secret this is one of the best games I've played to date and it looked great even on mid-range cards. Can't wait to see what differences the new patch makes. Check the first post below for a series of sites with the dirt on Far Cry's latest patch.
"By now, you probably have heard about Corsair bringing back 2-2-2 to the world of memory. Well, now it's Bjorn3D's turn to play with some of these new modules from Corsair. For those who haven't heard, these modules are from Corsair's new XL memory line."
"One of the more interesting trends of ATX case manufacture over the last few years has been the slow death of beige computer cases. We all know this, it's been pretty obvious. So, what is the next step? Cooler Master's approach has been to start rounding out those sharp lines to create flowing cases that border on art. Today I'll be looking at one of the more visually striking members of Cooler Master's lineup – the CAV-T01 Cavalier."
"I don't know what to say about it. Other then I really enjoyed building it. It was something that I had thought about building for a long time. I just never had a decent wheel to use for the project, so for a while I just thought about how I would want to mount everything and the best way to seal it off, and how easy it would be to make the plexi glass parts. So once I found the rim that I used I had everything all figured out in my head, so I just built it."
"Today I will be reviewing Altec Lansing's recently released VS4121 computer speaker system. With full three way sound, excellent aesthetics and a decent price tag, you might want to stick around if you are in the market for a new stereo speaker system."
OK gang, that's it for now. Have a safe holiday weekend!
