Sony Ericsson Goes Green With Elm & Hazel Handsets

Sony Ericsson added two new handsets and a Bluetooth handsfree unit to the manufacturer's earth-friendly GreenHeart portfolio. The new Sony Ericsson Elm phone, the Sony Ericsson Hazel phone, and the VH700 all use recycled plastics, are free from hazardous chemicals, use a low power consumption charger, and feature minimized packaging.

The GreenHeart project is designed to help Sony Ericsson reduce its CO2 emissions by 20% by 2015. Sony Ericsson hopes to make all of its accessories 100% GreenHeart compliant by 2011.
