Sony PlayStation Now And DualShock 4 Wireless USB Adapter Headed To PC
Can't we all as PC and console gamers just get along? The answer is a resounding yes as we're seeing increased efforts from all sides in making platform-specific games playable on different systems. The latest effort is from Sony, which announced that PlayStation Now is making the jump to Windows PC, first in Europe and then North America not longer after.
"This will bring a wide selection of PlayStation exclusive titles to Windows PC for the very first time, including entries in the Uncharted, God of War, and Ratchet & Clank franchises, as well as beloved PS3 games like The Last of Us and Journey," Sony says.
The PS Now library is currently over 400 titles strong. Bringing a PS Now app to PC will open up access to a whole new audience, and the system requirements for running it aren't that steep, either. They consist of the following:
- Windows 7 (SP1), 8.1, or 10
- 3.5GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8GHz AMD A10 or faster
- 300MB or more of storage
- 2GB or more of RAM
- Sound card
- USB port
In addition to PS Now, Sony's releasing a DualShock 4 USB wireless adapter so you can use a DualShock 4 controller on your PC or Mac without any wires. Every feature of the controller works, including motion sensors and vibration, so long as the game you're playing supports them. Look for this one to be available in early September for $25 MSRP.
