Spell Checker Goes Wild on Yearbook

First of all, what was going on with this yearbook staff?  I mean, normally when running a spell checker on something you don't have it set to accept suggestions without human input.

Middletown Area High School's yearbook listed Max Zupanovic as "Max Supernova," Kathy Carbaugh as "Kathy Airbag" and Alessandra Ippolito as "Alexandria Impolite," just to name a few.

"It was kind of funny, but kind of rude at the same time," Ippolito said.

The company involved said it would provide stickers for free to cover the erroneous names - but then they also said it happens all the time.  Have you readers noticed this?  We have never seen this type of mistake before.  We have seen plenty of misspelled words that should have been caught, but not names that shouldn't have been corrected.
