Sprint Offers Snapdragon Always Connected Windows 10 PCs With Free Unlimited Data

Sprint is offering a deal that folks who are interested in one of the new slick little Qualcomm Snapdragon Always Connected PC Platform devices will really love. The deal allows eligible devices to get free unlimited LTE data for the entirety of 2018. There are three devices that are eligible for the free data offer, including the ASUS NovaGo, HP Envy X2, and the Lenovo Miix 630. All three of those devices are on the aforementioned Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC Platform and employ a Qualcomm X16LTE modem. The 2-in1 machines look very similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro with ultra-portable detachable or convertible designs, some with keyboard covers.

The fine print on the deal notes that the free data excludes taxes, fees, and surcharges, meaning you will end up actually paying something. After 12/31/2018, you will be hit for $15 per month after a $5 per month autopay discount. You must be willing to sign up for autopay to take advantage of the free unlimited data offer. Obviously, you do need to own one of these devices with a compatible with the Sprint network SIM, or purchase one from Sprint or other retailer.

In addition, Microsoft enabled Windows 10 on ARM 64-bit support for machines running the Snapdragon platform earlier this month, a follow-up to last year's roll-out that was initially based on a 32-bit implementation of the OS. At Build 2018, Microsoft also rolled out the ARM64 SDK for Windows 10 allowing devs to create native 64-bit ARM apps using Visual Studio 15.8 Preview 1. Regardless, the big upside to these devices is that they promise runtime of over 20 hours.

The HP Envy x2 packs in 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ display and sells for $999. We were also able to spend some hands-on time with the Lenovo Miix 630 back at CES 2018 when the device first debuted.
