Sprint Is Bringing 4G LTE To More Than 100 Cities In The Coming Months

Sprint announced some serious expansion plans for its 4G LTE network. In the "coming months," the wireless carrier intends to turn on 4G LTE service in more than 100 additional cities. A full list of the new cities is below; some of the large cities that will be getting the service include Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

As Sprint is rolling out the new service in these areas, it's likely customers with a 4G LTE compatible device will be able to connect to the network before it officially launches so if you're in one of the newly announced markets, keep an eye out for LTE service.

Sprint currently offers 4G LTE service in 19 metropolitan areas. The wireless carrier intends to complete its 4G LTE rollout by offering LTE coverage in most of the same areas it currently offers 3G service by the end of 2013. In addition to rolling out 4G LTE service, Sprint's Network Vision plan includes other upgrades to its network that will result in expanded coverage, better network reliability, and improved voice quality.
