Star Wars Battlefront 3 E3 Gameplay Trailer Is Rollercoaster Ride Of Awesomeness

There were lots of juicy bits at this year's E3 convention, among them a full five minutes of actual gameplay footage from the third installment in the Star Wars Battlefront series. What makes this trailer so exciting is that the gameplay is plucked from a PlayStation 4, as opposed to renders made with the game engine or cutscenes that don't actually depict gameplay graphics.

It's a wild five-minute ride filled with TIE fighters, X-Wings (which you get to fly, by the way), AT-ATs, AT-STs, rebel troopers, stormtrooopers, lasers, lightsabers, and, well, you get the point. When the finished product ships, you'll be able to join the Empire and accompany AT-AT walkers as they march towards the Rebel base to destroy it, or fight for the Rebels and help defend against the Empire's onslaught.

You'll get to engage other players in 40 multiplayer battles in either a first-person or third-person perspective (you can switch between the two, both of which are shown in the trailer). Battles will take place on several different planets, including Endor, Hoth, Tatooine, and Sullust.

The trailer shows a Walker assault on Hoth. If you have a good set of speakers or headphones, we suggest using them, as the sound effects and overall Star Wars ambiance is in full effect here. Check it out:

Barring any last minute delays, the rebooted Star Wars Battlefront will be available on November 17, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Origin). We can hardly wait!
