T-Mobile Gives Away Three Months Of Unlimited 4G LTE For Simple Choice Customers

T-Mobile, now the third largest wireless carrier in the United States (behind Verizon and AT&T), is planning a series of special promotions for the holiday season. It's called Un-carrier Unwrapped and for the next month, T-Mobile will introduce a "special gift" for customers each week, starting with three full months of unlimited high-speed 4G LTE data.

The three free months of data applies to all active Simple Choice postpaid customers, including business customers. Once a qualified user blows past his or her monthly data allotment and Data Stash, they can keep going without incurring any additional fees. As for how many customers realistically will benefit from this, T-Mobile didn't provide an estimate, though the Un-carrier did point out that data usage on its network typically spikes more than 10 percent every December.

Qualifying customers don't need to do anything to take advantage of the free gift; T-Mobile will apply it to their plans on December 1, 2015, and it will stay there as long as they're on the same plan and active up until March 1, 2016.

T-Mobile is keeping a secret the three remaining gifts it plans on handing out in the weeks to follow, though at least one of them is likely intended to poach customers from competing networks.

"We’ve had a fantastic year, and we’re going to spread that T-Mobile cheer by starting with the most important people first… our existing customers! Now you get Unlimited LTE data on our blazing fast network for three full months as a gift from the Un-carrier to you," said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. "But that’s not all….we know that Verizon, AT&T and Sprint customers need some holiday cheer, too - so we’ve got presents coming for them. Just wait!"

These gifts are in addition to several Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals T-Mobile has planned, one of which is $100 off the popular UE Boom Bluetooth speaker.
