T-Mobile Offers $325 To Pixel 2 Or Pixel 2 XL Owners Activating A New Line

T-Mobile never misses an opportunity to throw shade at the competition, and it especially likes to pick on Verizon. It is not always talk, however—putting action behind words, T-Mobile has an offer for anyone who is interested in buying a fancy new Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL handset. If you are willing to jump ship and port your number over to T-Mobile, the so-called Un-carrier will give you $325 back on a new generation Pixel phone.

With the Pixel 2 starting at $649 (64GB model), that works out to up to a 50 percent discount. To qualify, you have to trade in a phone and switch at least one voice line. You also have to purchase an unlocked Pixel device on your own, since Google firm chose Verizon as its exclusive launch partner.

"Verizon wants you to use your Pixel 2 on a network that’s struggling to keep up with unlimited data. And they claim the Pixel is ‘exclusive’ – just like they claim to have a better network. I’m here to tell you it’s all BS!," said John Legere, T-Mobile president and CEO. "The Pixel 2 works great on T-Mobile, and now you can get it for half off when you come to the Un-carrier and #BYOPixel."
Existing T-Mobile customers are not exempt from the deal, either. If you are already on T-Mobile, you can qualify for the same discount by adding a new line to a T-Mobile ONE or Simple Choice Unlimited plan. Whether new or old, the money back offer comes in the form of a $325 MasterCard, which T-Mobile will send out in the mail.

The deal is even sweeter if trading in a device to Google when purchasing a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL. Let's say you own an iPhone 7 Plus with 32GB of storage. The trade-in value is worth $280 at Google. Combined with the money back offer, you are looking at $605. Not too shabby.
