Huawei Honor V10 Leaks Early Courtesy Of TENAA Regulatory Agency
TENAA is the Chinese equivalent of the FCC and every product that goes on sale in the country must get its approval. Just like the FCC, TENAA sometimes leaks many details on products that haven't launched yet. This is exactly what has happened with the new Huawei Honor V10 smartphone.
The Honor V10 is set to be unveiled in China on November 28 and a week later at an event in London to mark the global launch. Ahead of that launch full details on the smartphone have surfaced. The smartphone will have a 5.99-inch FullView screen with a 2160 x 1080 resolution.
The chipset inside is tipped as a Kirin 970 paired up with 6GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The back of the smartphone has a dual camera setup with one 16MP sensor and one 20MP sensor. The front packs a 13MP camera for selfies.
As for the operating system, Huawei has already shown off the EMUI 8.0 interface with the launch of the Mate 10 series of smartphones and the Honor V10 is expected to land running that same software. EMUI 8.0 is based on Android Oreo meaning that buyers of the V10 will get the latest and greatest Android flavor right out of the box.
Audio fans will appreciate that the smartphone still has a headphone jack on the bottom of the phone. The fingerprint scanner is on the back of the smartphone, but is far enough away from the camera lenses so constant smudges won’t be an issue. Huawei isn’t following the new style of super thin bezels, as it has a thick top and bottom bezel. Pricing for the smartphone is rumored to be CNY2,999, which is about $452. Huawei certainly doesn't have the same name recognition as Apple or Samsung in the smartphone realm, but the company is the second largest smartphone brand in the world.
