The Ultimate GeForce 7800 GTX?

On an otherwise painfully slow morning in terms of exciting news, PureOverclock brings word of an absolute monster of a graphics card coming from the folks at Gainward. Following the trend of Gainward's GLH (Goes Like Hell) series of graphics cards, the company is preparing a GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB that will be unlike any other variant on the market. Throwing standard reference designs out the window, GLH-series cards are blessed with faster memory specifications and actually have faster memory IC's selected. These modules are then dropped onto a custom new PCB layout to provide the best overall performance and reliability. In short, the "standard' GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB we all know is clocked at 550/1700MHz. Gainward's upcoming GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB GLH will be clocked at an obscene 600 /2200MHz!

Gainward's GLH version is rumoured to be clocked somewhere around 600-650 MHz on the core and a mind blowing 2.2 GHz on the memory. If this turns out to be more than a rumour it will most likely be faster than a 7900 GTX.
