Tom Cruise Looking Ripped And Badass In Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation Trailer

At 52-years-old, Tom Cruise is far removed from being a teen heartthrob. However, his acting career is showing no signs of slowing down, nor is his penchant for action these days. There looks to be plenty of it in Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, his fifth Mission Impossible flick in nearly two decades. Where has the time gone?

Luckily for Cruise, he doesn't appear to be aging as fast as the cast of The Expendables. Good thing too, because engaging in shootouts on sport bikes while navigating twisty mountains and hanging onto airplanes (from the outside!) as they race down the runway and into the sky is a young spy man's game. Or at least you would think it is.

Mission Impossible 5

These are some of the things Cruise subjects himself to as he reprises his role as Ethan Hunt. This time around he discovers that "the Syndicate is real;" the Syndicate being a rogue nation of spies. His mission, which we assume he has chosen to accept, is to take them down, plain and simple.

Paramount has released a one-minute teaser trailer on YouTube that's already amassed over 2 million views. A longer trailer is scheduled to play sometime today.

There's a bit of a star-studded cast that's coming along for the ride, including Alec Baldwin and Ving Rhames, along with Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and Rebecca Louise Ferguson. Behind the scenes, Jack Reacher director and Edge of Tomorrow writer Christopher McQuarrie gets directing credit.

Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation is scheduled to release to theaters and IMAX on July 31.
