TomTom & HTC Partner To Deliver Better Navigation For Phones
TomTom and HTC are teaming up to deliver better navigation and locations solutions for HTC's smartphones. Under the partnership, HTC's new mapping experience known as HTC Locations will use TomTom's maps. HTC Locations will initially be available on the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z in Europe and Asia. It will come to other phones in the future. Although maps and location content will come preloaded, if you want turn-by-turn navigation, you'll have to purchase it through HTC Locations or through HTC Sync.

HTC Locations, HTC’s new mapping experience, comes preloaded with TomTom’s location-rich maps, resulting in a zero-wait navigation experience. HTC Locations is initially available on the new HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z smartphones in Europe and Asia and will be extended to a wide variety of future smartphones and geographies.
