WASD Lovin’ Continues As Hori Launches Keyboard And Mouse Combo For PS4

Look, we can't tell you if Bigfoot exists or if aliens are truly responsible for making circles and sweet looking designs in crop fields. However, one thing we do know is that the mouse and keyboard combination is the best input option for playing games. Period. Console gamers may be loathe to admit it, but they may also change their tune once they get the chance to try out some WASD fun on their PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

How so? Just last week, Microsoft's Phil Spencer confirmed that keyboard and mouse support was coming to the Xbox One, and now a Japanese-language website has tipped the release of Hori's Tactical Assault Commander 4 for the PS4.

Tactical Assault Commander 4

The TAC 4 is a keyboard and mouse combination that looks somewhat similar to its predecessor, the Tactical Assault Commander 3. It has a wider keyboard platform with directional arrow keys, along with a Snipe key to change mouse sensitivity, a Quick key, and a Walk key to slow your roll (literally). The DualShock 4's triangle and circle buttons are in relation to the arrow keys where you'd find the Q and E keys on a standard keyboard, respectively, while underneath it all is a D-pad.

It will be interesting to see how this iteration turns out. LIke the TAC 3, it's a neat idea in theory, though the previous model didn't garner stellar reviews. Instead, it was criticized for having lag and trouble registering diagonal movements with the mouse.

The TAC 4 is due out in Japan on November 30 for 14,904 yen (around $120 in U.S. dollars).
