Xbox One Update Offers A Big Screen reddit Experience With ReddX App

If you are a regular reddit user, and own an Xbox One, then Microsoft is going to make you happy. Major Nelson revealed that the ReddX Xbox One application has launched today and will allow Xbox One users the ability to browse reddit on the big screen.

The app can be snapped to one side of the TV screen while gaming or using another app, making it readily available at anytime. Players will be able to view images, videos, and GIFs on the screen in addition to browsing the threads. Some neat features include the ability to zoom in and out of text and images while being able to rewind, fast forward, or pause a GIF. Images can also be saved to a user’s profile whereas any image can be used as the background for the ReddX app.

ReddX will let users upvote or downvote threads and add comments by using the Xbox One controller, media remote, or use the Xbox SmartGlass app and type out the comments on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. The app also has its own media achievements that can be unlocked.

However, ReddX is only available to Xbox Live members who live in the U.S. and Canada at this time. No information has been provided as to when other countries will have access to the app.
