Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Gets Official With Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM And Dual 12MP Cameras
Xiaomi decided to go with minimal bezels around the top and sides of the smartphone, while there's still a noticeable "chin" at the bottom which houses the front-facing camera. To our eyes, it looks better and more uniform than the "notched" displays found on the iPhone X and the army of Android copycats that are incoming.
The smartphone is constructed from a mix of ceramic materials and Series 7000 aluminum, and your "window" into the Android operating system comes courtesy of a 5.99-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160x1080 (18:9 aspect ratio). Conducting the show is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with either 6GB or a more generous 8GB of RAM. Depending on the model you choose, you'll receive either 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
Other features of interest include support for Qualcomm QuickCharge 3 wired charging and Qi wireless charging. As for the battery itself, you'll find the same 3,400 mAh unit that came with the Mi MIX 2. On the software front, we have Android 8.0 Oreo that has been infused with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9.5.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will launch on April 3rd in China, but there's no indication that the phone will be available in the United States, even though it has global LTE support.
