Sony Xperia 10 And 10 Plus Available For Preorder, Gain Verizon Certification

Sony announced a few smartphones at MWC 2019 with the most notable of them being the Xperia 1 packing a sexy 4K OLED display. That wasn't the only device unveiled, with Sony debuting the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus smartphones at the show. If you liked what Sony was offering in those budget devices, some good news has surfaced today.

Both the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus smartphones are now up for preorder at several retailers. The Xperia 10 is selling for $349.99 (Amazon, Best Buy), and the 10 Plus is going for $429.99 (Amazon, Best Buy). The smartphones will work on AT&T and T-Mobile networks. If you are on Verizon both phones just recently picked up certifications to work on that network as well.

The X10 has a 6-inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution; it also packs dual rear cameras with a 13MP and a 5MP sensors. The SoC inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage; power is from a 2,870 mAh internal battery. The X10 Plus has a larger screen and improved specifications overall.

X10 Plus buyers will get a 6.5-inch IPS display with full HD+ resolution, dual rear 12MP and 8MP cameras, a Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. Power for the smartphone is from a 3,000 mAh internal battery.

Shared features of the devices include side-mounted fingerprint scanners, headphone ports, and Android 9 Pie is installed out of the box. The main drawback that people have complained about with both of these devices is that they are very skinny boasting 21:9 aspect ratios. However, that might be something welcome by those looking for a device easily operated with one hand. Shipping for both models is set to happen March 18.
